Who is BSL Plus?

BSL Plus is a dedicated provider of professional communication support services for the Deaf, Deafblind, and Hard of Hearing communities. “BSL” stands for British Sign Language, and it is at the heart of everything we do.

Our core mission is to break down communication barriers that prevent individuals from fully accessing day-to-day activities, education, and employment opportunities, including the Access to Work scheme.

We are based near Reading and operate across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey, and various other regions in the UK, depending on client demand.

Our services go beyond British Sign Language. We also provide:

• Support with Sign Supported English

• Deafblind Manual and Block Letter communication

• Adapted methods for complex needs

Our experienced team works alongside a wide range of Service Users—infants, children, young adults, adults, and the elderly—many of whom are vulnerable and may have additional physical, mental, or sensory needs. This includes individuals with autism, learning disabilities, SEN, or other specific communication requirements.

At BSL Plus, we believe in building meaningful relationships based on rapport, trust, and consistency. That’s why we provide trained and empathetic British Sign Language Communication Support Assistants (BSL CSAs), tailored to meet each client’s unique needs and preferences.
